Bluehat Team Building
Bluehat UK was formed in 2001 by four people passionate about team building. The next year the Corporate Event Association voted Bluehat winners of 2 prestigious industry awards: Best New Company and Team Building Company of the Year because the approach to team building was so refreshing.

De Bono's Blue Hat
Bluehat’s name was inspired by Edward De Bono’s book ‘Six Thinking Hats’ which has been described as an essential approach to business management.
Edward de Bono originated the concept of lateral thinking and he developed formal techniques for deliberate creative thinking. He has had faculty appointments at the universities of Oxford, London, Cambridge and Harvard. He has written fifty-seven books which have been translated into thirty-four languages.
In this book Edward De Bono details an important and powerful technique called 'Six Thinking Hats'. It is used to look at decisions from 6 different perspectives each one illustrated by a different coloured hat and amongst other applications it is successfully used in business meetings to improve decision making.

Bluehat in the UK
Bluehat delivers most of its team building events and team training in the UK. Head Office is based near London with workshop facilities in Hertford and satellite offices in Chesterfield and Kent. The team travel to meet clients all over the country because it’s clear how important it is to meet and get to know each other. This is fundamental to providing an effective solution.

Bluehat Team Building Events Overseas
Bluehat also deliver team building and team training overseas (particularly the USA and Europe) because many of the unique team building events are not available locally.

Bluehat’s Team
Bluehat UK has a full time team of 21 experts from a variety of fields. This full time team are supported by a strong part time event crew who have the most team building experience in the country. The team also draw on the experience of freelance experts when it’s important to provide a more specific solution for a client.
