Team Building Exercises

Team building exercises are normally fun and have an impact on team spirit and motivation because teams have fun together on an event. This part of the Bluehat UK website explains how this impact on team motivation can be measured so that you can see clearly what Return On Investment you’ve achieved by having your team building event.

If you’d prefer to see how Bluehat’s team building events combine fun and learning please go to Team Building Events.

How to measure your Return on Investment (ROI) in a team building exercise

Bluehat takes team building very seriously because it’s clear that companies can achieve impressive results when they are made up of high performing teams. Any team building exercise that you use to improve corporate team performance is a step in the right direction.

Bluehat measures the progress of your team on a team building event by taking the ‘team temperature’ before the event and again after the event. This gives an indication of the team’s situation, the impact of the team building event itself and a measure of the improvement in team spirit and motivation.

This measure, or evaluation, takes shape in tangible statistics on what your people are thinking, feeling and experiencing instead of the more common (and more vague) sense of achievement that people feel after a team building activity. You will see exactly what state your team is in before and after your Bluehat team building event.

The progress that your team makes is part of its longer-term development. You can find out how Bluehat works with corporate teams to co-ordinate a program of team development in the section called Training and Development and more specifically you can find out how Bluehat uses more complex diagnostic tools if you go to Training Tools.

Demonstrating team improvements

Bluehat’s unique evaluation tool demonstrates the progress your team makes in tangible measures. This gives your team a unique yardstick for measuring the multiple dimensions of team spirit. It also highlights areas for team development.

Evaluation of your team building event takes the shape of a factual Powerpoint report. This is based on information we gather from everyone who participates in your event. We present these findings to you so that you can understand how much improvement has been generated from your team building event.
The findings give you a clear indication of the steps you can take to continue making improvements in team performance.

What information is measured on your team building event?

There are eleven key areas that are measured to give you a clear indication of your team performance. These are:

Finding out more about Bluehat’s unique evaluation tool...

You can find out more about how Bluehat measures the impact of your team building event on your team by asking the Bluehat team how it’s worked for other corporate teams and what results they’ve achieved in their company.

A member of the Bluehat team will show you how this tool works so that you can decide how useful it is for you. You can do this online if you prefer – please speak to the Bluehat team on 0845 207 2001 to find out how.

You can also ask to meet with a member of the Bluehat team without any obligation to commit to a team building event. This is recognised as the best way to find out how your team building could work and what you can achieve.
